Knowing What a Franchise Opportunity Has To Offer
Before starting out on a road trip, everyone remembers to keep a map, unfortunately few will look at it and fewer will stop and ask for direction if they get lost. It’s pretty much the same thing with starting a business; few people will actually ask for step by step support and they’re likely to end up feeling lost by the time they’ve got a business up and open.
Before starting any kind of business venture or investing so much as a dime you need to know just what it is you’re signing up for. A lot of people enter into franchise agreements that turn out to be like those DIY home projects where you’re given a set of instructions and material and you’re on your own.
Franchising is one of the most successful ways big companies expand and as more and more companies are selling themselves on this concept, they’re doing more and more to facilitate prospective franchisees. When you start your search for a brand name or business franchise opportunity to invest time and money in, make sure it’s one that will give you substantial support. Companies that have a successful chain of stores across different states and different countries are a good investment. Franchise opportunities in USA may have a big name but they still can’t beat ones that have a global presence.
The kind of franchise that has multiple channels to drive sales to your store and one that actively markets their brand is something that can be invested in safely. Fruit bouquets are a great example; they’re one of the fastest growing concepts in gifts and have a lot of consumer appeal, something that hamburgers can’t match.
International Franchise Business Opportunity – provides franchise opportunities in food, retail and floral gift markets with franchise locations around the world.

I love the analogy of the road map in franchising Tom. It’s important as a perspective franchisee that you understand a few key things.
A few things perspective franchisees need to know
1. This initial investment into the franchise and how it compares to the franchisor’s projections for your business.
2. The training and support the franchisor will be providing to each and every franchisee.
3. The ongoing royalties you as a franchisee will owe to the franchisor.
Like Tom said get a road map and stop for directions before you hit the road on your way to franchise success.
