This company is fraud and simply all thieves who work there. John Harvey and Michael Tatzber there are two crookets who tooks our $10,000 as a gimmick of their franchise partnership program and then they simply disappeared. Not only we $10,000 in their scam plot but many others got caught in their scams and lost their money. They have been reported to the Federal crime bureau and the attorney general is taking actions against them. Avoid dealing with topseek (topseekinc.com) before you lose your money.

Answered a craiglist sales ad in NYC for TopSeek.
After being hired, was put in touch with the local sales manager who I found to be lacking in knowledge of industry techniques and tried some old fashion high pressure intimidation techniques to answer questions he couldn’t answer. A few weeks after telling him to shove it, I get an email from was stated as scammed franchise investors who couldn’t reach Top Seek principals for a refund.
Caveat Emptor.

Ron great article. Actually if you type in some of the nationwide cleaning franchises and add “lawsuit” in front of their names, you will be shocked to see how they have tricked people into buying a job for themselves. Shame on these franchises.

I have been involved with the business of franchises for a long time and you made the perfect comment when you said your view of success must be a long-term goal. Franchises like other business models must be given time to grow and become successful. Making an investment into a business does not garuntee success and it takes time to develop a customer base. If you are interested in purchasing a franchise of any kind be sure you are ready to invest time and resources to develop a successful business. In our business in the fitness franchise world franchisees have to develop a customer base and their has to be an investment in great service or it takes much longer to develop a successful gym franchise.
